Dr. Jeffrey Soble, M.D. Cardiology Specialist, Associate Professor of Medicine, Rush University Hospital; Co-Founder and CEO of ASCEND Health Information Technology. Dr. Jeffrey Soble is a practicing cardiologist, board-certified echocardiographer, and associate professor of medicine at Rush University Hospital, a top US hospital in Chicago. He has a longstanding involvement in healthcare IT and image analysis. Dr. Soble’s primary research focus is related to digital image processing of echocardiographic images and is now involved in the creation of comprehensive solutions to enhance cardiovascular workflow solutions, including telepresence for complex intervention. As co-founder and CEO of ASCEND Health Information Technologies, a company that was a pioneer in structured reporting for cardiovascular procedure reporting, he was involved in the work that has made Structured Reporting the standard for cardiology tests and procedures. Dr. Soble has also participated in the development of healthcare standards as the representative of the American Society of Echocardiography to the DICOM working group (WG-12) that drafted the original Structured Reporting standard for echo measurements, which was instrumental in achieving interoperability between echo machines and cardiovascular information systems. |
