What if we could predict who would get diabetes, long before they actually got it? What if we could provide high risk patients with training, support and counselling to prevent diabetes? What if we provided diabetes prevention services to elderly patients who already have other diseases?
If we could predict who will get diabetes, we could potentially improve the lives of thousands of patients and lower costs of managing diabetes, which is one of the fastest growing diseases in the world. In this session you'll learn about our efforts to improve our diabetes prediction algorithms, how we plan to scale up diabetes prevention to hundreds of thousands of patients across Canada and how we're building a platform to test mhealth apps that can help with diabetes prevention on a large scale.
