• identify and install packages to expand the basic functionality of R
• import external data from various sources (including Microsoft Excel) into R for analysis
• summarize data using basic statistical methods
• define and create effective quality and performance metrics and indicators
• create data visualizations (including scatterplots and box-and-whisker plots)
• assemble components of a performance dashboard
