Ann McKibbon was the creator and director of the McMaster University MSc in eHealth. Ann has worked at McMaster University in the areas of health informatics, information sciences, knowledge translation and evidence-based medicine for more than 25 years. She is also heavily involved in the KT Canada Summer Institute, whose goal is to increase the number of skilled knowledge translation experts and practitioners. Ann’s background is in information sciences with an MLS from Western University. She later obtained a PhD in medical informatics from the University of Pittsburgh. Ann’s interests centre on getting the best possible content (i.e., the evidence from health research) into our eHealth applications. She has produced evidence summaries on many topics such as eHealth tools effectiveness in medication management and electronic communication for parents, children, and their care providers. Ann has presented more than 300 lectures and workshops to various librarian, clinician, and mixed audiences since the early 1980s.
