This session gives a general introduction to terminology services, which is a combination of the process, people, technology and governance required to enable the adoption, selection and management of clinical terminologies. 

Data Standards and SNOMED Series

This series looks at data standards and in particular SNOMED. It will discuss how it works. It will examine the differences between SNOMED and ICD9, ICD10 and IVC-10 CM. It will look at how and where it is being used, the challenges of deploying and using SNOMED, its impact, challenges, limitations and future.
