Instructor: Ron Dunn, Managing Partner, RLDunn and Associates Consulting Inc; Former VP, Information Solutions, McKesson Canada

The market has changed dramatically in the last few years which has caused a fundamental shift in the way e-Health solutions are procured and sold. As a result, the community of solutions providers (vendors) has been hit with a series of impediments to successfully selling their wares. At the same time, the buying community has been hit with impediments that cloud their ability to make logical and pragmatic selections.

What are these impediments and how have they impacted the solution providers and the buyers? Are these changes beneficial to the market as a whole? Have we created a knowledge void? How have the changes impacted procurement processes and do they enable the industry to position itself for the future?

This session will address these challenges and it will seek to propose solutions that will shine a light on the need for a course adjustment as we move beyond the solutions of yesterday and toward the next generation of healthcare technology.
