Attendees will develop an understanding of online health and disease self-management including:

• characteristics of the population most likely to need such support
• an overall perspective on some of its successes and failures
• an understanding of the difficulties faced when implementing such projects
• the need to involve positive participation from the patient’s entire circle of care
• limitations that need to be overcome for successful implementations
