Ron Dunn Managing Partner, RLDunn and Associates Consluting Inc.; Former VP, Information Solutions, McKesson Canada Ronald L. Dunn, as vice president of McKesson Technology Solutions Canada is responsible for the overall leadership of McKesson Corporations healthcare information technology business in Canada. He is responsible for the overall general management of the business including customer operations, sales, marketing, customer service as well as strategic and tactical planning. Ron has been in the healthcare technology industry for 27 years, twenty-two of which have been with McKesson. Ron graduated from the Economics program at the University of Western Ontario and is actively involved in various industry organizations in support of the healthcare information technology industry in Canada. In 2002, he, along with a handful of like-minded individuals, founded Canada’s first trade association solely focused on Health ICT. He served as Founding Vice - Chair until 2004 and was instrumental in the merger of this association with ITAC, thereby creating ITAC Health. Ron continued as Vice Chair of ITAC Health until 2012 and currently serves as the Chair of the Governance Committee of the Board. He is a strong advocate for and continues to be an active promoter of Canada’s health ICT industry domestically and abroad. Since 2001, Ron has lead McKesson’s Canadian technology business achieving growth of more than 400% including more than $150M of medical imaging sales and earning McKesson the prestigious ITAC Health ‘Company of the Year’ award in 2010. ITAC Health presents the annual award to the company that best represents the interests of its customers and is voted on exclusively by customers. Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty are the tenets of Ron’s management practices and the foundation of McKesson’s vision of helping its customers achieve better health outcomes. Ron’s extensive experience and performance has been recognized continually throughout his career, most notably in 2012, when he was awarded the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal for his service to the Canadian health informatics industry. In addition, he currently serves on the Corporate Advisory Council for the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) to stay abreast in this evolving industry and to maintain McKesson’s presence in the minds of executive decision makers across the country.
