This session will cover Canada’s approach to implementing a pan-Canadian electronic health record and the current state of development of digital health and the implementation of electronic health records in Canada. It will give a short overview of health records and the impact on quality, safety and access that eHealth strategy solutions have. It will cover the key steps of building a shared infrastructure which facilitates integration and enables collaboration which incorporates acute and primary care, diagnostics, self care, business systems, culture of analytics and coordination of care.
The sessions will be given by one of Canada’s leading eHealth experts, Roger Girard. Mr. Girard, an expert in health information integration and CIO in many healthcare jurisdictions across Canada, will give both the theory and a practical perspective on eHealth strategic planning.
