Kelly Abrams MPA, CHIM Vice President, Canadian College of Health Information Management Kelly Abrams is the Vice President of the Canadian College of Health Information Management (CCHIM); she is responsible for HIM educational competency content, program accreditation, and certification in Canada. She has been a certified HIM professional for over 30 years and has worked in various HIM roles across Canada including coding classification, decision support, utilization and risk management, privacy, quality improvement, Telehealth, teaching, and curriculum development. Kelly is a member of the Standards Council of Canada’s mirror committee ISO/TC 215 Health informatics and is a Subject Matter Expert on the SMC/ISO/TC 215/WG 3 Semantic content. Kelly has published widely on topics specific to health information and eHealth and is co-editor of the Fundamentals of Health Information Management, 1st and 2nd editions, and the Canadian HIM Lifecycle. |
