This series will focus on the concept of shared services, where two or more health organizations share all or a portion of their eHealth and IT needs.

The series will begin with an introduction and explanation of the nature of eHealth services, and then why and how these can and should be shared between many different health providers. The concept of leverage within a Shared Services model is explained, and how eHealth supports broad integration within the healthcare enterprise. The second part of the series covers more advanced topics, including the various eHealth Shared Services Models that can be utilized, Governance Models, Service Level Agreements, and concludes on Advanced Concepts such as the Cloud, and how this will affect eHealth services over time. This is the future of eHealth in Canada.

The first part covers an explanation of eHealth services and why and how they can be shared between health providers.  The second part covers more advance topics including Models, Governance Models, Service Level Agreements, & the Cloud.
