Welcome to the National Institutes of Health Informatics

NIHI is a Canada-wide institute bringing together experts in Health Informatics (HI).

NIHI has a dominant focus on the problems and issues that are perceived as important by the health system and by private industry as it seeks to deliver the basis for products and services that are needed by the health system.

NIHI serves as a co-ordinator and facilitator in fostering and developing initiatives in academia and industry dedicated to HI research and education.

NIHI pursues the offering of professional education programs and other outreach initiatives that complements existing programs.

Information and Privacy Commissioner for Ontario, Dr. Ann Cavoukian, joins Brendan Seaton, President, ITAC Health, and Shelley Lipon, Canada Health Infoway Certification Lead, as the keynote lecturer at the Industrial Strength eHealth Privacy and Security Workshop on February 1-2, 2012 in Toronto, Ontario. This workshop is being offered in collaboration with ITAC Health.
