This two-day workshop provides knowledge, skills and tools needed to develop, implement and manage a comprehensive privacy and security program in your health organization. The workshop features online lectures from noted privacy and security experts and hands-on workshop activities providing the knowledge, skills and tools needed to protect personal health information. It is designed to help eHealth, privacy and security professionals in or serving healthcare organizations how to:

protect the privacy rights of patients and clients by meeting their obligations under privacy legislation and applying best practices to information privacy management.

implement a privacy program in your organization and how to kick-start your Privacy Impact Assessment.

develop and implement eHealth systems by ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of personal health information and life-critical information systems.

implement an information security management program to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of health information, and the fundamentals of conducting a Threat and Risk Assessment.
