Building directly on the foundational knowledge established in Artificial Intelligence in Health Care 1, this course translates knowledge into organizational action. The primary goal is to equip healthcare leaders, physicians, and operational staff with the strategic and practical knowledge required to implement and govern AI safely, ethically, and effectively within the Canadian regulatory landscape.

The course is structured to guide participants through the entire AI lifecycle, starting with the strategic planning and readiness required to build effective AI programs. Participants will learn the core components of building an AI business case and roadmap, covering essential clinical, operational, and financial considerations.

We then drill down into the practicalities of procurement and implementation. Students will learn to operationalize AI programs, from advanced vendor management and integrating Trustworthy AI principles into contractual requirements, to mastering workflow integration and establishing effective ethical and governance frameworks.

Upon completion you will be awarded a NIHI - McMaster CE microcredential in Artificial Intelligence in Health Care 2. A microcredential is issued in a digital format, provides details of acquired competencies and is shareable and transportable.

Important note: Completion of NIHI – McMaster CE Artificial Intelligence in Health Care 1 or equivalent background knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Health Care is strongly recommended.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made within 3 business days of the initial registration are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made after 3 business days of the initial registration AND before 15 business days of the course start date are eligible for a 50% refund only.
  • Cancellations made within 15 business days of the course start date are NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • NIHI reserves the right to reschedule or cancel sessions.

Registrants will receive detailed instructions about accessing the online session(s) via e-mail 1-2 days prior to each session. Anyone registering within 2 days of the session will receive the message shortly after the registration is received. Due to widespread use of spam blockers, filters, out of office messages, etc., it is your responsibility to contact NIHI if you do not receive login instructions before the start of the session.

It is the responsibility of the registrant to ensure access to WebEx using the VOIP option.

Each registrant must register and participate individually on their computer. The online sessions are to be accessed and viewed only by the person who registered and paid for the online material.

All sessions are recorded and posted to an online portal for access later.
