Macro-roles and Challenges

This section describes the major organizational roles undertaken by applied health informaticians. Examples of macro-roles include CIO, Manager of Systems, or Analyst.

Each macro-role description includes:

  • A definition of the position.
  • A chart of the challenges for this macro-role with the level of importance for each challenge (high, medium or low), and the experience type and level required for each challenge.
