Dominic Covvey
Dominic Covvey is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Waterloo and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. He is also the President and Director of the National Institutes of Health Informatics. He was the Founding Director of the Waterloo Institute for Health Informatics Research at the University of Waterloo (2003-2010). His research is in the representation and analysis of healthcare workflow, the definition of competencies and curricula in Health Informatics and the design of the Electronic Health Record. He has published hundreds of articles, presented at many conferences and produced 6 books and several book chapters. Dominic is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI) and of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), a senior member of the IEEE, and CIPS Information Technology Certified Professional. |
